Inspired by the Colombian 'Carriel', Carrieles de Colombia launches a unique collection of bags hand-made from premium quality coloured and patent leathers cowhide. The "Carriel" has a long history in Colombia, dating back more than 400 years. Although no-one quite knows the full history, it is believed that it was an adaptation of a European bag that the Spanish colonisers would have taken with them to Colombia.
In folkloric Colombian tradition, an authentic Carriel should contain no less than 50 objects along with a few lucky charms. To protect, the claw of a large animal; to entertain, a pair of dice and a deck of cards as well as a love letter from a sweetheart. For this reason the collection of bags contain a number of secret pockets.
Over time the style has evolved to become a modern fashion statement worn by the stylish men and women of Colombia's most sophisticated cities; Medellin, Cali, Bogota and Cartagena.
The bags are all hand-made in Jericho Colombia, by a small team of artesan handbag makers who have been producing the bags for several generations.
As UK consumers increasingly embrace South American design, the time is ripe to show that Colombia has more to offer the world than coffee.

Carrieles de Colombia
These are the Terms & Conditions for Carrieles de Colombia, address: Carrieles De Colombia P.O. Box 4477 SL1 0UA
DEFINITIONS
"Contract" means acceptance by Carrieles de Colombia of an order by the Customer, by email or other correspondence confirming the availability of the Product, price and delivery charges and timing and other relevant information;
"Customer" means the person, firm or company using the Website and ordering any Product from it;
"Intellectual Property Rights" means copyright, patent, trademark, design rights, know-how, or any other right, whether registered or not, or capable of registration or not, existing anywhere throughout the world;
"Product" means any item for sale and all items pictured, described and offered for sale on the Website;
"Product Page" means the relevant page on the Website dealing with that particular Product;
"Website" means www.carriel.co.uk or any such other website as used by Carrieles de Colombia.
1 ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS & USE OF WEBSITE
1.1 By using the Website the Customer is deemed to have accepted these Terms & Conditions.
1.2 Carrieles de Colombia reserves the right to amend or vary these Terms & Conditions at any time and without express notice to the Customer and the Customer's continued use of the Website and/or ordering Product from the Website shall be deemed to be acceptance of such change.
1.3 Carrieles de Colombia may vary any item or part of the Website, including policies, prices of Product, terms, and Products available.
1.4 If any of the Terms and Conditions should be deemed invalid, void or unenforceable for any reason, it will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining Terms and Conditions.
1.5 Carrieles de Colombia accepts no responsibility and offers no endorsement to businesses, product or content of other sites linked to the Website.
2 ORDERING PRODUCTS & PAYMENT
2.1 Subject to any process set out on the Website, once the Customer has selected the Product(s) they wish, the Customer shall go through the payment process and an email will be sent from Carrieles de Colombia confirming receipt of the order.
2.2 Following receipt of an order referred at 2.1, Carrieles de Colombia shall advise product availability and subject to stock accept and confirm the order by a second email. At this point, a contract has been made between the Customer and Carrieles de Colombia.
2.3 Carrieles de Colombia is not obliged to fulfill any order.
2.4 Payment for Product will be made by credit or debit card via Paypal with whom Carrieles de Colombia has contracted for a secured payment system. Carrieles de Colombia will only send out Product to a Customer for which payment has been received in full.
2.5 Whilst Carrieles de Colombia will use its best endeavours, and has been advised by Paypal, that use of the system is secure, the Customer accepts that Carrieles de Colombia accepts no responsibility or liability for any failure in the secure online payment system.
2.6 Prices listed on the Website are exclusive of any tax or duty which would be levied and for which the Customer is liable.
3 DELIVERY – TIMING AND COSTS
3.1 Carrieles de Colombia shall use its best endeavours to deliver product within the time specified in the Contract. If there is going to be a delay in delivery, Carrieles de Colombia will advise the Customer by email at the earliest opportunity. Time shall not be of the essence.
3.2 The Customer shall accept part delivery of Product in the event that more than one item is ordered. Products forming part of an order may be delivered separately.
3.3 Carrieles de Colombia does not accept any liability for delay, despatch or delivery and cannot be held responsible for delivery at any set time on a particular day.
3.4 Whilst not guaranteeing these times, Carrieles de Colombia shall do its best to despatch all orders within 24 hours of confirmation. For next day delivery, all orders should be placed before 1pm and confirmed orders will be despatched the same day.
3.5 All orders are processed Monday to Friday so if an order is placed over Saturday or Sunday, the earliest time it will be delivered will be on the following Tuesday.
3.6 Carrieles de Colombia use Royal Mail and DHL for all shipping. All Product will need to be signed for on receipt and will be insured up until this time. Once the Customer or the Customer's authorised representative has signed for the Product, the Product will become the Customer's responsibility.
4 RETURNS POLICY
4.1 The Customer has the right to cancel their order up to 7 days of receiving the Product. If an order is cancelled, the Customer should return the Product immediately to Carrieles de Colombia in the same condition that it was received, unused, undamaged and in its original packaging with all tags and care cards included. Any Product damaged or soiled may not be accepted.
4.2 If the Customer receives a Product that is damaged, they must let Carrieles de Colombia know within three days of receiving the Product. Carrieles de Colombia will refund or exchange the Product (subject to availability).
4.3 The Product will remain the responsibility of the Customer until it is received at Carrieles de Colombia. If the Product is deemed lost in the post, Carrieles de Colombia will not refund the Customer. The Customer is recommended to use Recorded or Special Delivery with insurance cover.
4.4 Unless the Product is faulty, the Customer will be required to arrange and pay for the return of the Product. If the Product is to be exchanged, Carrieles de Colombia will cover the delivery charge. Return costs are not refundable except for faulty Product.
4.5 The Customer should notify Carrieles de Colombia's Customer Services team by email of a return of Product. Carrieles de Colombia will confirm receipt by email advising of a return reference number.

4.7 Once the Product has been quality checked, Carrieles de Colombia will either send an exchange Product or refund the cost of the Product, excluding the original delivery charge.
5 NO GUARANTEES AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
5.1 Whilst Carrieles de Colombia is confident that the content on the Website is accurate and in the quality of the Product and the satisfaction the Customer will have, it does not guarantee that any Product will be exactly what the Customer believes it to be or fit for any particular purpose. In particular, Carrieles de Colombia does not guarantee that the colour of the Product or the exact design seen on the Product Page will completely reflect the actual Product as is.
5.2 The Customer acknowledges that Product is being ordered online and on the basis of viewing a picture of Product on the Website. All photos and descriptions including specifications and advertising on the Website are issued and published for the sole purpose of giving an approximate idea for Product described.
5.3 In particular, other than return of Product under the Returns Policy at Clause 4 in these Terms, Carrieles de Colombia shall not be liable for any delays, damage during transit or any direct or indirect damages, loss, costs or any other expenses as a result of the Customer making an order for Product.
5.4 The Customer acknowledges that Product is for personal use and enjoyment and the Customer has no right of re-sale of Product purchased from Carrieles de Colombia.
6 DATA PROTECTION
6.1 Carrieles de Colombia is registered under the Data Protection Act and will at all times adhere to the requirements of that Act including maintaining all Customer's personal details in confidence and undertakes not to use such personal details for any use other than the business of fulfilling orders of the Customer, unless such use is specifically authorised by the Customer.
6.2 Carrieles de Colombia will not provide any personal data to any third party outside Carrieles de Colombia for marketing purposes if the Customer has indicated that they would not like Carrieles de Colombia to do this during the registration process.
6.3 Carrieles de Colombia will always obtain the Customer's permission for any use of personal data at any time and the Customer will always be entitled to opt out of that consent at any time.
7 PRIVACY
7.1 Carrieles de Colombia warrants that it will not disclose any information on any Customer to any third party other than to process the orders and deliver Products to the Customer.
7.2 In particular, Carrieles de Colombia does not retain details of Customers' credit cards.
7.3 Carrieles de Colombia agrees it will not contact the Customer by email to request personal information or data at all. If the Customer receives any such request, the Customer is advised not to respond.
8 INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
8.1 The Customer acknowledges that all Intellectual Property Rights contained in the Product, Website and any of its content, design, text, graphics, and any software or source codes connected with the Website, belong to Carrieles de Colombia or if owned by a third party are licensed to Carrieles de Colombia.
8.2 Carrieles de Colombia grants the Customer a limited license purely to download or print pages from the Website for personal use. The Customer is not permitted to make any modification to the Website. If the Customer forwards any pages from the Website to a third party for their personal use, no modifications may be made and an acknowledgement should be made that the extract forwarded is from Carrieles de Colombia Website. The Customer is not entitled to incorporate any part of the Website in any other work or publication without the prior written consent of Carrieles de Colombia.

9.1 Carrieles de Colombia does not sell Product to people under the age of 18. Anyone under 18 will require a parent or guardian over the age of 18 to order the Product on their behalf.
10 SEVERANCE
10.1 If any of these Terms & Conditions shall be determined to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable for any reason by any Court or competent jurisdiction, then such a term or condition shall be severed and the remaining Terms and Conditions shall survive and remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.
11 JURISDICTION
11.1 These Terms & Conditions and the Contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of England and Wales, and Carrieles de Colombia and the Customer hereby submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
12 THIRD PARTY RIGHTS
12.1 A person who is not a party to this Agreement shall have no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any of its terms.

14 ASSIGNMENTS
14.1 Carrieles de Colombia shall be able to assign its rights and obligations under the Terms or any Contract.
15 ENTIRE AGREEMENT
15.1 These Terms, together with the Contract and any correspondence between the parties in writing, including e-mail, constitute the entire agreement between the parties relating to the purchase of Products.
16 CUSTOMER SERVICE
16.1 Any feedback, customer enquiries or potential complaints should in the first instance be directed by email to info@carriel.co.uk Carrieles de Colombia will endeavour to respond to a Customer's query within 4 working days. The Customer may also use Carrieles de Colombia's customer services telephone number 08456891052, which is available from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9.30am and 5.00pm.
3.1 Carrieles de Colombia shall use its best endeavours to deliver product within the time specified in the Contract. If there is going to be a delay in delivery, Carrieles de Colombia will advise the Customer by email at the earliest opportunity. Time shall not be of the essence.
3.2 The Customer shall accept part delivery of Product in the event that more than one item is ordered. Products forming part of an order may be delivered separately.
3.3 Carrieles de Colombia does not accept any liability for delay, despatch or delivery and cannot be held responsible for delivery at any set time on a particular day.
3.4 Whilst not guaranteeing these times, Carrieles de Colombia shall do its best to despatch all orders within 24 hours of confirmation. For next day delivery, all orders should be placed before 1pm and confirmed orders will be despatched the same day.
3.5 All orders are processed Monday to Friday so if an order is placed over Saturday or Sunday, the earliest time it will be delivered will be on the following Tuesday.
3.6 Carrieles de Colombia use Royal Mail and DHL for all shipping. All Product will need to be signed for on receipt and will be insured up until this time. Once the Customer or the Customer's authorised representative has signed for the Product, the Product will become the Customer's responsibility.
4 RETURNS POLICY
4.1 The Customer has the right to cancel their order up to 7 days of receiving the Product. If an order is cancelled, the Customer should return the Product immediately to Carrieles de Colombia in the same condition that it was received, unused, undamaged and in its original packaging with all tags and care cards included. Any Product damaged or soiled may not be accepted.
4.2 If the Customer receives a Product that is damaged, they must let Carrieles de Colombia know within three days of receiving the Product. Carrieles de Colombia will refund or exchange the Product (subject to availability).
4.3 The Product will remain the responsibility of the Customer until it is received at Carrieles de Colombia. If the Product is deemed lost in the post, Carrieles de Colombia will not refund the Customer. The Customer is recommended to use Recorded or Special Delivery with insurance cover.
4.4 Unless the Product is faulty, the Customer will be required to arrange and pay for the return of the Product. If the Product is to be exchanged, Carrieles de Colombia will cover the delivery charge. Return costs are not refundable except for faulty Product.
4.5 The Customer should notify Carrieles de Colombia's Customer Services team by email of a return of Product. Carrieles de Colombia will confirm receipt by email advising of a return reference number.

8.1 The Customer acknowledges that all Intellectual Property Rights contained in the Product, Website and any of its content, design, text, graphics, and any software or source codes connected with the Website, belong to Carrieles de Colombia or if owned by a third party are licensed to Carrieles de Colombia.
8.2 Carrieles de Colombia grants the Customer a limited license purely to download or print pages from the Website for personal use. The Customer is not permitted to make any modification to the Website. If the Customer forwards any pages from the Website to a third party for their personal use, no modifications may be made and an acknowledgement should be made that the extract forwarded is from Carrieles de Colombia Website. The Customer is not entitled to incorporate any part of the Website in any other work or publication without the prior written consent of Carrieles de Colombia.

2 ORDERING PRODUCTS & PAYMENT
2.1 Subject to any process set out on the Website, once the Customer has selected the Product(s) they wish, the Customer shall go through the payment process and an email will be sent from Carrieles de Colombia confirming receipt of the order.
2.2 Following receipt of an order referred at 2.1, Carrieles de Colombia shall advise product availability and subject to stock accept and confirm the order by a second email. At this point, a contract has been made between the Customer and Carrieles de Colombia.
2.3 Carrieles de Colombia is not obliged to fulfill any order.
2.4 Payment for Product will be made by credit or debit card via Paypal with whom Carrieles de Colombia has contracted for a secured payment system. Carrieles de Colombia will only send out Product to a Customer for which payment has been received in full.
2.5 Whilst Carrieles de Colombia will use its best endeavours, and has been advised by Paypal, that use of the system is secure, the Customer accepts that Carrieles de Colombia accepts no responsibility or liability for any failure in the secure online payment system.
2.6 Prices listed on the Website are exclusive of any tax or duty which would be levied and for which the Customer is liable.

5.2 The Customer acknowledges that Product is being ordered online and on the basis of viewing a picture of Product on the Website. All photos and descriptions including specifications and advertising on the Website are issued and published for the sole purpose of giving an approximate idea for Product described.

6.1 Carrieles de Colombia is registered under the Data Protection Act and will at all times adhere to the requirements of that Act including maintaining all Customer's personal details in confidence and undertakes not to use such personal details for any use other than the business of fulfilling orders of the Customer, unless such use is specifically authorised by the Customer.
6.2 Carrieles de Colombia will not provide any personal data to any third party outside Carrieles de Colombia for marketing purposes if the Customer has indicated that they would not like Carrieles de Colombia to do this during the registration process.
